Reiki Session

For Distance Sessions – – The animal should be in a relaxed state, resting comfortably at home. Not running around and playing, or overly stimulated by outside sources.

-Prior to a distance session you should also be talking to your animal to let them know what will be going on and that the practitioner will be working with them. I know this sounds silly, but it really does help!

Ex: “Fluffy, Kristen is a Reiki practitioner and she is going to be working with you today. Know that you are safe and that this is okay. I have asked her to share Reiki with you because I love you, I want you to be well, and I wish to understand you better.”

For In-Person Sessions – The animal should be in a relaxed state, and should have been allowed ample time to go to the bathroom, as well as had the opportunity to relieve some energy prior to the session (when applicable).

– Prior to an in-person session you should be talking to your animal to let them know what will be going on and that the practitioner will be working with them. I know this sounds silly, but it really does help!

Ex: “Fluffy, we will be going to see Kristen today! Know that she is there to help you, and that she is your friend. She may want to touch you, or simply be in the same room with you. Know that you are safe. We are taking you to see her because we love you very much, and we want to help you and understand you better.”

*Animals can refuse Reiki. It is their choice as to whether or not they will accept it. Results will vary from pet to pet.
